PRODUCT DESCRIPTION :
Zinc Stearate is specially designed to combined with other metal soaps, it is used as a stabilizer in all non-toxic applications in PVC processing i.e. film for food packaging, drinking water straws, PVC materials for medical purposes. It gives good early color and lubrication. It can be used as water processing agent, anti-sticking agent and mold release agent in rubber industry. Paints it finds applications, it can be used in grinning of pigments sanding sealer, flattening agent-gives make finish in pigment concentrate elastomer polystyrene and other light colored plastics application where Sulfur staining is not deaired.

Zinc Stearate Applications :

1. Release agent, it is widely used as a release agent for the production of many kinds of objects rubber, polyurethane, polyester processing system, powder metallurgy. These applications exploit its "non-stick" properties. Zinc stearate is used as a release agent for the manufacturing of rubber, polyurethane and polyester processing
2. In cosmetics, zinc stearate is a lubricant and thickening agent used to improve texture.
3. It is an "activator" for rubber vulcanization by sulfur and accelerators. As discovered in the early days of vulcanization, zinc has a beneficial effect on the reaction of the sulfur with the polyolefin. The stearate is a form of zinc that is highly soluble in the nonpolar medium of the polyolefin. Being lipophilic, it functions as a phase transfer catalyst for the saponification of fats.
4. It is a component of some paints, imparting gloss. As a chief ingredient in "fanning powder", it is used by magicians performing card manipulation to decrease the friction between playing cards.
5. Applications for zinc stearate vary widely across the industrial spectrum, but a majority of its applications center around its physical properties as a dry hydrophobic powder. Zinc stearate is used as a dry lubricant in certain applications such as the production of rubber, latex, polyurethane, and polyesters. It is also used in the rubber vulcanization process in conjunction with sulfur and other accelerators. While zinc stearate is used mostly for industrial applications, it is also sometimes used in cosmetics and personal care products. Zinc stearate is included in certain makeups and powdered cosmetics for its hydrophobic (water-repellant) properties.
